The role of Women and Women-led/ Women-rights organizations in the Humanitarian WASH Sector and Coordination

This work aims to understand the experiences of women in Humanitarian WASH Coordination and Leadership. While for the humanitarian response system as a sector, an academic manuscript published in 2020 found that approximately 40% of humanitarian responders are women, it is important to understand the barriers at global and national level that impede women’s participation in leadership in the Humanitarian WASH Sector.
